V-Control Free sees computer but cant control anything

im running V-Control Free, Pro Tools 8.0.4 on Windows 7 64 Bit.



Ni Fi is running and its connected up in midi setup of pro tools. i also have a digi 002 rack running.



i launch v control free and it sees my computer fine. shows different windows etc when i click the thr lower right button.



but it wont controlpro tools at all, wont play etc....



any help on this before i upgrade to pro version?

Solved.



Pro Tools 8.0.4 on windows 7 needs to be run in admin mode.

Can you please try a new Ney-Fi version 1.5.1.8. Some issues reagrding Ney-Fi needing to run as Administrator (so V-Window can see all your apps) has caused some MIDI problems. Please let us know your results.

Same issue, but I'm on Mac OS X. 7.4. It sees everything in the "View Mode" but won't control anything.
No faders, No mutes etc...

Same here - and I do have the latest version of Ney-Fi - so it can't be that?

Same here. PT 10. Lion

The iPad will mirror what's going on on my mac but has no control.

When I start the iPad app it asks me to update Ney-Fi which is already at 1.5.1.3

OK, after restart now the ipad will not recognize my computer. no, wait, there it is.

OK, plays remotely, stops/starts remotely, but no editing capability or automation writing whatsoever.

Oh well. Back to the mouse.

I too have this problem, but only sometimes! It's like Elvis,... it stops,....................then starts again!

When V-Control is set up properly it should operate very reliably. Be sure to contact Support if it is not behaving consistent so we can help you figure it out.

V-Control gives me a "Ney-Fi Version Error" popup, telling me to update for Ney-Fi for "this version of V-Control"...I'm running the latest version (1.5.0.19).

Same thing happens on both a desktop Mac Pro and a Macbook, both running 10.7.4

I can only watch "V-windows" on the iPad. No communication with Pro Tools whatsoever. PT tells me it can't communicate with HUI etc... Everything set up according to the manual. No firewalls running.

EDIT: I'm not sure why you guys have put version 1.5.0.19 up there....or it may just be that a foreigner didn't get the meaning of "legacy versions". That's the direct link to Ney-Fi that I clicked. The other link needed name/email etc to be filled out so I didn't bother just for checking out the free app. Now I see that I indeed needed to fill in the info and use that link to get the very latest Ney-Fi.
